Some of you may have noticed some large delays getting a few select paypal payment processed recently. Due to the way we process such payment we rely on a
combination of things including the paypal notifications. Unfortunetly for the past few weeks we've noticed Paypal has not been consistant in sending out
such notices and some payments are simply being overlooked.
So, if your Paypal payment or deposit isn't processed within 24 hours of sending it, please email us with your username and the Paypal transaction ID
number so we can identify the proper account to credit.
We're currently working on a processing change to avoid such a thing in the future. But for now, please keep the above in mind.

Dear SMJ staff,
After I've registered as johnnyroy, and deposited 10$ to activate my account, I received a "SMJ Deposit Received" e-mail with a password, after that I bid on the following auction: http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u20083008 after the bidding I changed my password for security reasons, and than decided to deposit another 206$, but after the transaction on PayPal, instead of receiving a "SMJ Deposit Received" mail, I received the 2 "your payment has been refunded" e-mails, and I discovered that my account johnnyroy on SMJ was deleted!!! And on the top of that nobody from SMJ even thought to notify me about that or to reply to the e-mail I wrote to webmaster(at)shoppingmalljapan(dot)com ! I would be very pleased to know what's going on. I needed the (10$+206$) deposit to bid on 2 more important auctions on yahoo japan, of which one has only "buy it now" option and is very important for me to win it! Hope you'll find a way to solve this situation / misunderstanding / error asap Please. Thanks. johnnyroy

Its because you used an unverified paypal account to make your deposit (if you're the recent register I'm thinking of from Croatia).

I saw the "Confirm my card" wizard, just now. Thanks! Till now I had no problem with biding and paying on ebay, and many international retail web store. How that you acted and deleted my account only after my first deposit and bid? Why is confirmation so important for you? But, the 10$ (don't know for the 206$ yet) have been withdrawn from my bank account, and I suppose it deposited to your account. Will it be refund, with the 206$? Or will you keep a partial to pay the bid item? When I confirm my card will I be able to register again and make the same deposit (216$), and get the item I bid on, and bid on other items?

The $10.00 should have already been refunded. But if you're using a credit card to fund your account it might not show up right away. I'm not 100%
sure how the credit card / paypal withdrawl works. We've had a paypal account almost since day one, so its been a long while since we've had to mess
with that.

Hi,
I put in a $40 deposit a few days ago, and got this e-mail: "Hello,
We are currently creating your account, however your registration was incomplete. When you receive an email from us titled SMJ
Deposit Received, please use your password to log into the website and submit the update information form. You must fill out all fields entirely. Address,
City, State and Zip are requirements. Once you submit that form your account will be fully active.
Thanks,
SMJ Staff"
However, I never received the "SMJ Deposit Received" e-mail despite sending payment. I'll go e-mail you my username and Paypal verification number now. Is there anything else I need to do, other than what the e-mail says? I have an auction ending in less than two days, so I want to be clear about everything. |

You won't get the deposit recieved email untill you supply the info. Incomplete registrations can't be fully activated.

Two days ago I created an account with Shopping Mall Japan (user name: spacekappa67) and sent you a $100 Paypal deposit. After not hearing anything for 24
hours, I sent an email to webmaster@shoppingmalljapan.com asking for help, but I never got a reply. My
Paypal acccount is verified.
Can someone help me out and let me know what's going on with my account? Thanks a lot! |

Email us the paypal transaction ID number and your username. This is actually an old issue we haven't had many problems with recently.
We usually reply within 24 hours. If your email is not being answered give it another try from a different email address and be sure to double check the "your items" page to see if any updates were made.
